We moved back home...

In 2007 our family made the wise decision to move back home. We had been living in a typical house in a typical subdivision in Wentzville, MO. We frequently returned to the Monett area to visit our family and to get away from the hustle and bustle of suburban St. Louis. We had had enough, so we bought a house and about five acres between Monett and Purdy in rural Barry County. After a few years, we decided to get a ‘few’ chickens, four to be exact. Well, those four chickens became nine chickens. The small coup wasn’t big enough, so a bigger one was purchased. The more significant coup could hold more than nine chickens, so we got a few more…you see the pattern, I’m sure.

We now have over 200 pastured laying hens and pasture-raised broilers from April thru October. We are licensed as an egg retailer and sell our eggs and poultry at the local farmer’s market, local stores, and online. We even make deliveries if you need it.

Our broilers are processed at Troyer’s Meat Processing in Stotts City, MO. They are a state inspected facility with an excellent reputation. We do this, even though it increases our cost by a significant margin, for the safety of our customers. We are also licensed by the state to sell our poultry to retail customers, restaurants, and other distributors.
